The MIA (Medical Industry Accredited) service allows members of the medical technology industry to apply for an ID card which demonstrates that they have successfully completed an accredited training course, qualifying them to be present in either the theatre or acute care environments.

This provides assurance to healthcare establishments that persons from the industry are properly trained for attendance in these areas. The training courses that make up the scheme have been fully accredited by established bodies including the Association for Perioperative Practice, Royal College of Nursing and BTEC.
